It all started with Louis Tiseo

Tiseo's was founded in 1982 by Louis Tiseo, a first-generation Italian American who was looking for the perfect frozen pizza dough for his store.

The Perfect Dough

Unsatisfied with what was available on the market at the time, Louis decided to develop his own.  With the help of his brother John, they began to create the perfect flavor for their pizza dough. 

Innovative Freezing

Louis began experimenting and developed his own process for freezing pizza dough. His experiments, which included freezing dough for over 2 years, successfully created a frozen pizza dough with a long shelf life and consistent quality.

Further testing was conducted to ensure the product was easy and fun to work with.  To do this, he enlisted the help of his grandchildren, Hayley and Kurt.  In the process it was discovered that the pizza dough could be used to make cinnamon rolls, elephant ears, pull apart bread along with anything they could dream of.

A Growing Brand

Before long demand for his pizza dough began to increase, so much so that he needed to start selling it outside of his own store.  Louis and John began to sell their dough in local grocery stores and fruit markets in the Detroit area. As they made their way around the state, more grocers saw the benefits of making a frozen pizza dough available to their customers.

Tiseo's Today

Today our product is available in the Midwest, on the East Coast, and spreading throughout the United States. As we continue into the future, we follow the same founding ideas and principles that guided Louis and John in the creation of our flagship pizza dough.
